Whenever Martin Short is on a talk show, you know the first couple of minutes are going to be taken up with him mercilessly roasting the host.

Seth Meyers is no exception. Appearing alongside Only Murders in the Building co-star Steve Martin in the Late Night clip above, Short skips the pleasantries to get a couple of early jabs in.

"You know of all the anti-vaxxers you are my favourite," grins Short. "Let me just say there is no one better than you at milking a living off a dying medium."

"And by the way, since I was here last you put the Ring cameras above the urinals," chips in Martin.

"And what did you mean backstage when you said to me we're 'dangerously close to a female president?'" asks Short.

The rest of the interview continues much in the same vein, with Martin and Short eventually leaving Meyers alone and trading blows between themselves.
