In case you missed it, vice president and presidential candidate Kamala Harris sat down for an interview with Bret Baier on Fox News. And in case you also missed it, Baier unsuccessfully tried to rattle Harris with misleading questions and interruptions.

Stephen Colbert did not miss it.

The Late Show host went through the Harris/Baier interview piece by piece to make Baier's strategies plain, from "the stupidest gotcha this side of the Rio Grande" to not letting Harris actually answer questions he'd asked ("Does he think he's interviewing himself?") to the Fox News anchor showing the VP intentionally clipped footage not showing Donald Trump's full and chilling comments about "the enemy within" and threatening to deploy the military against American citizens.

"A journalist can't selectively edit what someone says just to please their audience," Colbert says, "but a late night host can..."

Cue the tape of The Late Show's own edit of Baier saying exactly what they want him to say, proving Colbert's point.

Menawhile, The Daily Show also had plenty to say about the interview.
