Thinking about space for too long can be scary and overwhelming. Are we alone? Will we ever be able to live on another planet? Will black holes destroy the universe one day? What should you do if you ever encounter an alien? Don’t worry, our curious science producer will do all the excessive thinking for you, and teach you a thing or two in the process. With the help of experts, our producer will deep dive into all the interesting things that happen, have happened, and will happen in space.

A celestial spectacle will pass through the sky on Oct. 14. And you have an opportunity to safely watch.

The looming annular solar eclipse will be visible to millions of Americans in the U.S. as well as folks in Central and South America. Some will see the complete annular eclipse, wherein the moon passing in front of the sun creates a "ring of fire" view. Many others will experience a partial solar eclipse, as only part of the moon, from their vantage point, traverses our star. We’re about to give you all the details of how you can best watch this not quite “once in a lifetime” event.
