David Schwimmer plays a divorced dad haunted by his childhood friends' disappearances in the goo-filled trailer for Goosebumps: The Vanishing, the follow-up to Hulu's Goosebumps reboot.

"I want you to have a really fun and also safe summer out here," he says, welcoming his two kids to stay in his creaky house. "I only have one rule: Stay out of the basement."

Cue a monstrous montage in which the kids a) don't stay out of the basement, and b) the contents of the basement refuse to stay contained.

Goosebumps: The Vanishing is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu from Jan. 10.
